A midtown Sacramento restaurant on Monday won one of the highest distinctions in the Michelin Guide and culinary scene.At the 2022 Michelin Guide awards, Localis ceremony, located on 21st and S streets, was awarded one star. That rating is given to “restaurants offering outstanding cooking,” according to the Michelin Guide. The highest rating is out of three stars.”Visit Sacramento led the effort to entice Michelin to bring its inspectors to review Sacramento restaurants, with the goal of brining more attention to the city’s bustling culinary scene, beginning in 2019,” a statement from Visit Sacramento, the city’s tourism bureau, read. Localis, owned and led by chef Chris Barnum-Dann, offers the option between seven or 12 courses from its tasting menu.
